Is Catania suitable for making toys?
Our article 9801210 Catania Uni (100 % cotton) has been reviewed in accordance with the European standard for toy safety DIN EN 71-3:2019 and is suitable for the production of toys.
Schachenmayr Catania is produced at our own MEZ manufacturing site in Hungary in compliance with EU regulations and is certified according to OEKO-TEX Standard 100, product class I. The more intensive the skin contact of a product and the more sensitive the skin, the stricter the human-ecological requirements that need to be complied with. Product class I has the strictest criteria. Products include articles for babies and toddlers up to 3 years of age (e.g. underwear, rompers, clothing, bed linen, toys, etc.).
Anyone who produces toys commercially is obligated to comply with all legal requirements for the production and is self-responsible for any required examinations and certifications of these toys.
The evaluation report for Catania Uni for DIN EN 71-3:2019 and a declaration of conformity can be made available for this purpose upon request.
