Some knitting projects have an almost meditative effect, since the project grows and grows stitch by stitch and row by row without giving it much thought. This also applies to this pretty afghan that is worked in garter stitch with needle size 9/US 13 in the soft yarn Alpaca Classico with 2 strands held together. A pretty touch is the rib pattern that is knit onto the long edges. The finished afghan (approx. 100 x 155 cm/39 x 61 in) is adorned with cheerful pompoms on the corners.
