The FRIDA felted ballerinas from Wash+Filt-it! Fine are knitted completely in garter stitch right, first in rows and for the toe in rounds with decreases. Before felting, the ballerinas look anything but dainty, but by felting them in the washing machine, they shrink by about 30% to a foot length of about 25 cm (shoe size 39-40). Add the pompom and you have warm and chic slippers.
