Just like the rest of its species in the wild, giraffe CARL wants to stand tall - sitting down it is approx. 40 cm (16 in) tall. It is crocheted with Catania Grande in two colors according to the "spot" pattern in a jacquard technique. Head and body are crocheted separately in rounds and later sewn together. That makes it easier to stuff the toy and you can more easily determine whether your giraffe should be a slightly stiffer toy or whether you would like to use it as a pillow.
