Kaffe Fassett


Kaffe Fassett, the world-renowned textile and knitting designer, was born in San Francisco in 1937. He began his career as an artist in the USA, but at the age of 19 Kaffe Fassett moved to London, where he still lives today. There he creates his international collections, with their impressive colors and color combinations and unique textile patterns which earn recognition through the world.


Textile design, knitting, embroidery, and quilting are the main focus of the artistic work of this famous designer. Kaffe Fassett fascinates knitters around the world with his unparalleled feeling for colors and patterns. During his career, this “color artist” has collected a large group of followers all over the world.


In 1988, Kaffe Fassett received the special honor of being the first living textile designer to exhibit in the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. This was followed by very successful, numerous television appearances, videos, and books, all of which testify to the great inspirational power and impressive creativity of the “artist of colors and designs“.
