Guernsey pattern woman's scarf, S10341C
Guernsey is not only one of the British Channel Islands, the name also stands for a certain kind of traditional sweaters for fishermen and sailors. The patterns of these sweaters have been handed down from generation to generation and often have a relation to the sea or shipping. The rhombuses knitted in this large scarf (49cm x 197cm) symbolize a fishing net and the seed stitch reminds of gentle waves. The shawl is knitted with Merino Extrafine 85.
